Moskowitz Sworn in for Second Term Surrounded by Community Leaders in Broward County

<p><strong>FORT LAUDERDALE, FL</strong>&nbsp;— Today, Congressman Jared Moskowitz participated in a ceremonial swearing-in for his second term in Congress at the Broward County Commission Chambers. Upon being sworn in, Congressman Moskowitz remarked:</p>

<p><strong>“While we had our official swearing-in up in DC back in early January, this one is even more meaningful — because we’re at home, alongside our family and our friends and the community we’re fighting for every day…</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>American families want things done. We need to lower costs, keep communities safe, and defend our values. And partisan games just won’t achieve that. So as we enter this new Congress, I’ll partner with the new Administration and my Congressional colleagues to achieve those goals where we can find common ground, and I’ll stand up to disagree where we can’t…Thank you again for the trust that you put in me to represent our community in Congress.”</strong></p>

<p>In his remarks, Congressman Moskowitz touted his recent appointments to the&nbsp;<a href="https://moskowitz.house.gov/posts/foreign-affairs-subcommittee-ranking-member">House Foreign Affairs Committee&nbsp;</a>and&nbsp;<a href="https://moskowitz.house.gov/posts/selected-for-judiciary">House Judiciary Committee</a>. He also announced that, in the previous Congress, he had delivered $10 million in targeted community investments for Broward and Palm Beach Counties and had recovered more than $5 million for constituents.</p>

<p>His wife, Leah Moskowitz, administered his oath of office. The event was emceed by Broward County Mayor Beam Furr. Congresswomen Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick were also both sworn in. This ceremony comes after&nbsp;<a href="https://moskowitz.house.gov/posts/swearing-in-2025">Moskowitz’s official swearing-in</a>&nbsp;at the U.S. Capitol in early January.</p>
