Young Supports Secure America Act
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) issued the following statement after the Senate passed the Secure America Act : “I was proud to vote for the Secure America Act , which provides long-term funding certainty for Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. These law enforcement officers are on the front lines of securing our border, combating drug trafficking, fighting human trafficking, and removing dangerous criminals from our communities. They perform difficult and essential work every day, and this legislation ensures they have the resources necessary to carry out their mission and keep Americans safe.” The Secure America Act provides nearly $70 billion to fund U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for the next three years. The legislation strengthens border security, supports federal law enforcement, invests in personnel and technology, and ensures funding for immigration enforcement operations.
