Sen. Moran Directs Federal Resources to Kansas Airports in Appropriations Package
WASHINGTON
– U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) – member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and chairman of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Aviation – directed more than $26 million in federal investments to repairs and safety improvements at regional airports in Kansas. This funding was included in the five-bill appropriations package approved by Congress and signed into law by the President yesterday.
“Our regional airports are critical to connecting rural communities and supporting regional economies across our state,”
said Sen. Moran.
“These resources will allow for much-needed infrastructure improvements to bolster aviation safety and support Kansans’ aviation needs for years to come.”

Topeka Regional Airport (formerly Forbes Field) in Topeka
Freeman Field Airport in Junction City
Ottawa Municipal Airport in Ottawa
