Carter, Sr. (D-LA) issued the following statement: “I unequivocally condemn all acts of violence—no matter the target, no matter the justification. The recent deadly shooting at the Jewish Museum was a heinous act of terror, and my heart breaks for the lives lost and the communities in mourning. “Let me be clear: every life is precious. Every voice has value. No belief system, political stance, or religious identity should ever make someone a target. “Violence—whether in the name of religion, politics, or protest—is never the answer. We must work together to build a world where our differences are not feared, but respected. Where our disagreements lead to dialogue, not destruction. “Hate has no place in our society. Not now.
