Sen. Ossoff Backing Bipartisan Legislation to Help Blind Georgians
Washington, D.C.— U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is backing bipartisan legislation to help blind Georgians afford Braille readers and other specialized technology.
Sen. Ossoff is backing the bipartisanAccess Technology Affordability Act of 2025to help make specialized reading and other technology, like Braille readers, more accessible by creating a refundable Federal tax credit to help cover the cost.
The bipartisan legislation, first introduced by Sens. John Boozman (R-AR) and Ben Ray Luján (D-NM), would create a tax credit of up to $2,000 over a three-year period for individuals with visual impairments to purchase these technologies.
