U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement on President Donald Trump’s efforts to bring law, order and safety to our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.
“I completely and totally support President Trump’s efforts to bring law, order and safety to our nation’s capital by activating the National Guard and federalizing the DC Metro Police Department.
“There is a law and order crisis in our nation’s capital that must be addressed. It is embarrassing to our country that the District of Columbia has off the chart rates of violent crime, including murder and carjackings.
“Mr. President: Do what you must to make the District of Columbia safe again.”
