Welch Joins Community Members for ‘Common Grounds with Senator Welch’ Listening Session in Lamoille County

JOHNSON, VT –Today,U.S. Senator Peter Welch (D-Vt.)hosted a‘CommonGrounds with Senator Welch’listening session at Jenna’s House in Johnson. Senator Welch joined local leaders and community members in Lamoille County to discuss important issues to Vermonters, including high health care and insurance costs, the war in Iran, and the need to better support people and families recovering from addiction.
“As your Senator it’s my job to listen and work hard every day to make Washington work better for Vermont,”said Senator Welch. “This is a challenging chapter in our history: People are struggling right now and they’re worried—we’ve got sky-high health care costs, the president’s reckless war is escalating in Iran, and the rights of hardworking Americans are being threatened. It’s important we come together to find common ground, recognize what bonds us in our communities, and support our neighbors.
“I’ll bring the voices and ideas Vermonters brought to me in Johnson today back to Washington, and fight for them every day,”Welch concluded.
