Rep. Rose's Black Vulture Relief Act Clears Natural Resources Committee

July 18, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, DC— U.S. Representative John Rose (TN-06) is pleased to announce that his legislation, H.R. 2462 , the Black Vulture Relief Act, was advanced by the House Committee on Natural Resources this week. The bill allows livestock producers and their employees to take (capture, kill, disperse, or transport) black vultures without obtaining a permit if the vultures pose a threat to their livestock. Rep. Rose first introduced the bill in March 2023. He reintroduced the bill, which is being co-led by Rep. Darren Soto (D-FL), in April 2025.
