05.14.25 Cantwell Statement on Boeing / Qatar Airways Deal WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and senior member of the Senate Finance Committee, released this statement regarding today’s announcement of a large sale of Boeing aircraft to Qatar Airways: “It's a big win for Boeing’s energy-efficient 787 and 777 planes and a big win for Puget Sound and U.S. supply chain jobs. It's also good to see U.S. manufacturers winning in the lucrative widebody airplane market.
