I am thrilled that my MAPWaters Act and National Medal of Honor Monument Location Act have passed the House,” said Congressman Blake Moore. “Respectively, these bills will enhance recreationalists’ ability to access and enjoy our federal waterways and establish a location for a monument to recognize our Medal of Honor recipients on the National Mall. I’m grateful to start the year with these exciting wins, and I look forward to advancing these bills to the Senate Floor.” “The Modernizing Access to Our Public Waters Act is a commonsense solution that supports one of our nation’s vital outdoor recreation industries by simply updating and standardizing mapping information of our federal waters and making that information easily available to the public,” said House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Bruce Westerman. “Giving Medal of Honor recipients a permanent memorial on the National Mall is one the best ways we, as Congress, can celebrate the men and women who demonstrated incredible bravery in service to our country. I applaud Congressman Moore for his thoughtful work on these issues and I look forward to working to move these bills across the finish line.” Information on the passed legislation is below: The MAPWaters Act : Improves the standardization, consolidation, and availability of data related to public use of federal waterways and provides outdoor recreationalists the most up-to-date information when exploring the many natural wonders throughout Utah and across the country.
