Cassidy Announces $2.6 Million for Louisiana in Hurricanes Ida, Francine Relief
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $2,619,792.02 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for Hurricanes Ida and Francine relief. The Greater Lafourche Port Commission will receive $1,118,949.84 for permanent work on the Galliano Main Administrative Office Building which was damaged as a result of Hurricane Ida. The Louisiana National Guard will receive $1,500,842.18 for emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Francine. “As we continue to rebuild from past storms, we must also prepare for the next storm,” said Dr. Cassidy. “Louisiana is resilient, and this funding will only strengthen our communities.” ###
