ICYMI: Grassley Oversight of Arctic Frost Yields Ongoing Results and Draws National Attention

WASHINGTON– Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) this weekreleaseda Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)documentrevealing Jack Smith and the Biden FBI sought and obtained the cell phone tolling data of eight Republican senators and one Congressman as part of its sweeping Arctic Frost investigation into President Donald Trump.
The Biden FBI targeted the following lawmakers: Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), as well as Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.).
Earlier this year, Grassleymade publicwhistleblower records revealing the existence of the Arctic Frost investigation, which was opened and advanced by anti-Trump FBI Assistant Special Agent in ChargeTimothy Thibaultand other partisan officials. Grassley’s oversight also exposed the Biden FBI foracquiringPresident Donald Trump’s government cell phonebefore he was added as a subjectof the investigation, andtargetingnearly 100 Republican organizations and individuals as part of its sweeping Arctic Frost investigation. This morning, Grassley and Johnson led 16 bicameral colleagues indemandingthe Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI produce all records related to the Biden FBI’s targeting of lawmakers.
Following Grassley’s calls for accountability, the FBI – led by Director Kash Patel – reviewed the allegations and dismantled CR-15, the Public Corruption Unit responsible for the investigation. Patel also fired agents, including those involved in the unacceptable privacy breach against Members of Congress.
Grassleynotedat a Judiciary Committee meeting yesterday morning:
“Rest assured, this investigation is yielding results thanks to whistleblowers. I’ve done four public document productions about Arctic Frost. Starting with the information that has been made public, it’s exposed historic political misconduct to the American public. As a result, the FBI is investigating and has fired agents for misconduct. And the CR-15 unit at the Washington Field Office, which originated Arctic Frost, has been shut down. So, there’s already been some accountability because of Director Patel, and I would expect more will come. My investigation is very active, and I’ll have more to share this month.”
