Yakym Votes to Safeguard Women’s Sports from Radical Left Gender Ideology

<p><strong>Washington, D.C. –&nbsp;</strong>Today, Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) issued the following statement after voting for <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/28/cosponsors?s=2&amp;r=1&amp;q={%22search%22%3A%22h.r.+28%22}" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">H.R. 28</a>, the&nbsp;<em>Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act</em>; legislation that passed the U.S. House of Representatives today:&nbsp;</p>

<p>“In recent years, the radical left has proudly promoted biological males competing in women&#8217;s sports in the name of equity and inclusion. Unfortunately, they are willing to defy basic biology to advance their political agenda.&#8221;</p>

<p>“While everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, women’s sports must be safeguarded from a harmful ideology disconnected from reality.&#8221;</p>

<p>&#8220;As the father of two girls, this issue is deeply personal to me, and it cannot go unaddressed. This crucial legislation helps ensure that women&#8217;s sports are protected for future generations, and I am proud to support it.&#8221;</p>
