Since coming to Congress, I have had the privilege of spending some time in Perry County! I was grateful to spend time with local officials and to tour local businesses. Quality Building Supply and Buffalo River Truss highlighted the strong foundation of skilled trades and entrepreneurship that helps drive the local economy and outlined the strategic importance of prioritizing economic opportunity with community interests. Perry County is a peaceful, rural community that I have always found to be defined by strength, character, and an enduring reflection of creation. Each time I visit, I come away with a better sense of what makes America truly great. I also love how the county leadership and residents show such a strong commitment to faith, their neighbor, and their country. “It has been a great start for Perry County and Congressman Van Epps in his first term as our congressman. During the ice storm, he was in contact with Perry County and Lobelville on a daily basis.
