Congressman Taylor Joins Ohio Trucking Leaders in Roundtable Discussion
October 6, 2026 Press Release CHILLICOTHE, OH – Congressman Dave Taylor (OH-02) today joined the Ohio Trucking Association and local trucking industry leaders in a roundtable discussion at Kenworth on the critical role trucking plays in Ohio’s economy and the challenges trucking companies are facing across the state. Representatives from local companies shared their perspective and discussed ways Congress could best support the industry and promote safety on Ohio’s roads. “America’s trucking industry moves 11 billion tons of goods more than 300 billion miles each year, and serves as the backbone of our economy,” said Congressman Taylor. “I was grateful to hear directly from Ohio’s trucking professionals today about the challenges they’re facing on the road and how I can best support them in Congress. As the founder of the Congressional Trucking Caucus, I will continue fighting to support Ohio’s hardworking truck drivers, uphold strong CDL safety standards, and ensure commercial trucks and families can safely share the road.” Congressman Taylor is a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and is the founding member of the bipartisan Congressional Trucking Caucus, where he works to advance policies that support America’s trucking industry, strengthen highway safety, and keep goods moving across the country. ### Issues : Congress Transportation and Infrastructure
