Congressman Biggs Named “American Energy Champion” for 100% Pro-Energy Voting Record

September 29, 2026 Press Release GILBERT, ARIZONA – Congressman Andy Biggs (AZ-05) has been named an American Energy Champion by the American Energy Alliance (AEA), earning a perfect 100% score on the organization’s American Energy Scorecard for the 119th Congress. “I am honored to be recognized as an American Energy Champion,” said Congressman Biggs. “Affordable and reliable energy is essential to the prosperity and security of every family across this great country. Throughout his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman Biggs has supported legislation and policies aimed at expanding domestic energy production, reducing federal regulatory barriers, and increasing access to America’s natural resources. Among his energy and natural-resource efforts: SPEED Act : Biggs voted for H.R. 4776, the bipartisan Standardizing Permitting and Expediting Economic Development (SPEED) Act , which passed the House. The legislation reforms the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review process to help make federal permitting more efficient and timely, reducing litigation-related delays, and accelerating approval of energy, infrastructure, mining, and other major projects. Protecting Domestic Mining Act: Biggs voted for the Protecting Domestic Mining Act, when it passed the House in September 2026. Federal Land Freedom Act: Biggs introduced the Federal Land Freedom Act to give states greater authority over the development and production of energy resources on available federal lands within their borders.
