Hoeven Statement on Senate Confirmation of John Ratcliffe as CIA Director

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven issued the following statement after the U.S. Senate confirmed John Ratcliffe to lead the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
“We’re working to get President Trump’s team in place as soon as possible, and today confirmed John Ratcliffe as Director of the CIA. John did a good job serving as the Director of National Intelligence during the first Trump administration and will bring the same strong leadership to the CIA. He has a solid record of pushing back on China and our other adversaries, and will help ensure that our nation has the sound intelligence we need to keep Americans safe.”
