McConnell Announces Final Federal Funding for University of Kentucky Ag Research Building

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement today applauding the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s decision to provide the additional $26.7 million in federal funding for the construction of the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Forage-Animal Production Unit at the University of Kentucky: “I’m honored to have helped secure funding for the establishment and construction of this project over the years, and it’s great to see this final piece go into place for Kentucky’s leading agricultural research lab,” said Senator McConnell . “There is no doubt this funding will help the University of Kentucky continue to solidify itself as the center for agricultural research in the Commonwealth, and I’m grateful for its work in this field.
