Sen. Jim Banks Visits Indiana National Guard Troops Stationed in Washington, D.C.Thursday, December 18, 2025

This morning, Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) visited Indiana National Guard troops who are in Washington D.C. to support the D.C. Safe and Beautiful mission as part of President Trump’s Make America Safe Again agenda.

Background:
300 Indiana National Guard solders arrived in Washington D.C. earlier this month to assist local and federal law enforcement partners to help deter crime and maintain public order. Soldiers trained at Camp Atterbury to prepare for the mission. As the mission evolves, they will continue training alongside Joint Task Force-District of Columbia.
