Slotkin Joins Effort Denouncing Illegal Attempt to Dismantle the Department of Education

WASHINGTON, D.C. –
U.S. Senators Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Adam Schiff (D-CA) joined 17 Senate colleagues in introducing a
resolution
condemning President Donald Trump’s recent executive order to dismantle the Department of Education. In addition to condemning this move to gut the agency, the resolution also condemns actions to reduce federal public education funding and the freezing of federal education grant funding, and it highlights the importance of public schools in providing opportunities for all children across to succeed.
