Finance Committee Advances Bisignano to be SSA Commissioner
Washington, D.C.--The U.S. Senate Finance Committee today advanced the nomination of Frank Bisignano to be Commissioner of the Social Security Administration (SSA) by a vote of 14-13. Following the vote, Chairman Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) issued the statement below:
“Mr. Bisignano has more than 30 years of strong, executive leadership experience and knows how to enact his bold vision of delivering better customer service for Social Security beneficiaries. I look forward to his confirmation by the full Senate and working with him as Commissioner.”
