Trump’s Approval of Cameron County’s Gateway International Bridge Project August 22, 2025 HOUSTON – U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) today praised President Trump’s approval of Cameron County’s permit application to construct and operate a pedestrian crossing at the Gateway International Bridge, which connects Brownsville, Texas, to Matamoros, Mexico: “ I am glad President Trump has approved the construction of a pedestrian crossing at the Gateway International Bridge, which will help ease congestion and facilitate legitimate trade and travel ,” said Sen.
