GAINESVILLE, Fla.—Surrounded by more than 150 farmers from across Florida earlier this week, Senator Ashley Moody discussed efforts to help the industry recover from recent freezes and several damaging hurricane seasons. Senator Moody boasts a strong record of support for the agriculture industry, and during her speech at the 2026 Agriculture Policy and Commodity Forum she highlighted several bills to slash burdensome regulation and secure resources to keep Florida growing
“Farmers keep Florida fed. So, when disasters hit the agriculture industry, we need to explore ways to help keep our growers growing. It was exciting to be part of that discussion this week with the Florida Farm Bureau for the 2026 Ag Policy and Commodity Forum—and to talk about legislation I am pushing to support this vital industry,” saidSenator Ashley Moody.
