Gallego Celebrates Passage of Resolution Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

WASHINGTON – This week, Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), Arizona’s first Latino senator, applauded the passage of a resolution out of the United States Senate that recognizing and celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. Hispanic Heritage Month honors the contributions that the Hispanic and Latino communities have made to American achievements, culture, and history. “As the son of a Colombian mother and a Mexican father, this month is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices and resilience of generations of Latino families who have called this country home.
