Rosen Statement on 52nd Anniversary of Roe v. Wade

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) issued the following statement on the 52nd anniversary of theRoe V. Wadedecision, the third since the Supreme Court overturned it.
“Fifty-two years ago, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that women had the constitutional right to make their own reproductive choices,”said Senator Rosen. “Shamefully, women are now dying in states across this country because Trump-appointed judges overturned Roe and opened the door to extreme abortion bans. I’ll continue to fight against efforts to enact a nationwide abortion ban and stand up for  women’s freedom to make decisions about their own bodies.”
Senator Rosen has been fighting back against efforts to restrict access to reproductive rights. Last year, she gave aspeechcalling for the restoration ofRoe v. Wadeinto federal law.
