Statement on today’s shooting at the CDC

Atlanta, GA – Today, U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) released the following statement on today’s shooting outside the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): “I am mourning the tragic death of the officer who was killed in the line of duty today, and I am praying for the officer’s family and friends. Georgia law enforcement saved countless lives, and we are grateful for their service.” said Senator Reverend Warnock. “Earlier this year, I stood where this shooting occurred, rallying for fired CDC employees who work tirelessly to protect our public health and national security.
