Senator Schmitt Celebrates Jesus Osete’s Nomination to Western District of Missouri

Osete Served as Deputy Solicitor General During Schmitt’s Time as MO Attorney General U.S. SENATE — Today, U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) released the following statement following President Trump’s nomination of Jesus Osete to the Western District of Missouri. Osete, currently the Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, served as Deputy Solicitor General during Schmitt’s tenure as Missouri Attorney General and is the seventh judicial nomination from the state, among the most in the nation under President Trump’s second term. Six out of the seven nominees served in the Missouri Attorney General’s Office under Schmitt. “Jesus has dedicated his career to public service, and I am confident he will do a fantastic job as a judge in Missouri’s Western District.
