Senator Schmitt Applauds Deployment of $40.5 Million for Coldwater Creek Cleanup

WASHINGTON— Today, U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) announced thedeploymentof $40.5 million by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers to cleanup radiation waste in Coldwater Creek and related sites across the St. Louis region. This funding will be used for remediation activities under the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) to clean up radiation waste related to the Manhattan Project and protect the health and well-being of impacted communities.
