Congresswoman Nikema Williams Votes NO on the Billionaire Bailout Budget

WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) issued the following statement:

“I voted NO on the Billionaire Bailout Budget. I will never trade our children’s food, our seniors’ healthcare, or our students’ futures to bankroll tax cuts for billionaires.

To call this bad policy just doesn’t go far enough. It was a reckless, immoral attack on the people we’re supposed to serve.

Republicans didn’t just abandon working families—they targeted them. They voted to rip away food, healthcare, and opportunity so Trump’s billionaire donors could get richer.

When hospitals shut down, when children go to bed hungry, when students are told their dreams cost too much—Republicans will be to blame.

I’m in Congress to protect the people, not the powerful. I’ll never stop fighting for Georgia’s Fighting Fifth and for everyone paying the price for this shameful Republican betrayal.”
