Landsman Reintroduces Legislation to Cap the Cost of Insulin for Children

<p><strong><em>Cincinnati, OH</em></strong><em>&nbsp;– Today, Congressman Greg Landsman (D-OH-01) introduced</em><em>&nbsp;</em><em>a bill to cap the cost of insulin for children.</em></p>

<p>In line with his long-standing commitment to lowering&nbsp;costs and&nbsp;helping&nbsp;children and families, Congressman Landsman&nbsp;reintroduced&nbsp;the&nbsp;<em>Making Insulin Affordable for All Children Act</em>&nbsp;– legislation to cap the cost of insulin for children.</p>

<p>The&nbsp;<em>Making Insulin Affordable for All Children Act&nbsp;</em>would ensure that those 26 years of age or younger who are covered by private health insurance plans or Medicaid would pay no more than $35 per month for their insulin products.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Insulin is a lifesaving medication, but every day in our country,&nbsp;families are forced to make drastic financial decisions to&nbsp;make sure&nbsp;their child with diabetes has what they need to survive.&nbsp;I’ve seen firsthand what the outrageous cost of insulin does to families across Southwest Ohio, and no&nbsp;child&nbsp;should be deprived of care because of&nbsp;it. Congress&nbsp;capped the cost of insulin for seniors,&nbsp;now let’s do it for our&nbsp;children.”</p>
