Blumenthal Statement on UAW Agreement with Electric Boat

[Hartford, CT] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal released a statement today on the tentative agreement reached by MDA-UAW Local 571 and Electric Boat.
“This tentative agreement is a step in the right direction — providing historic wage increases and better benefits for our highly skilled submarine workforce. This past year, I successfully advocated for federal funding, specifically for worker compensation at EB, and that appropriation is certainly reflected in the additional compensation in this agreement. I was proud to stand with the UAW members on Friday afternoon in Groton to show my strong support for their fight,”Blumenthal said.
