Gallego Condemns Senate Republicans for Expanding Government Overreach

‘The solution to government overreach isn’t more government overreach,’ Gallego states.
WASHINGTON –Today,Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ)condemned Senate Republicans for overstepping their authority with more government overreach by abusing the Congressional Review Act.
“Republicans aren’t interested in improving the lives of hardworking Americans, they just want to score cheap political points. I won’t go along with their charade, and that is why I am going to vote against their efforts to overturn California’s Clean Energy Air Act Waivers.
“For me, this is not about mandates for electric vehicles. I believe California is moving faster than families’ budgets can keep up with, and, ultimately, we shouldn’t force working families to buy cars they can’t afford—plain and simple.
“But the solution to government overreach isn’t more government overreach. Republicans are yet again flying close to the sun by abandoning democratic norms and eroding states’ rights.”
