The funding comes through NeighborWorks America and will be awarded to Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada, a non-profit providing affordable homes and community education programs, and Nevada HAND, a non-profit builder and manager of housing for low-income seniors and working families. Senator Rosen annually leads her colleagues in requesting robust funding for the NeighborWorks program. “I’m proud to have helped deliver this federal funding to address the housing crisis head-on and make a real impact by helping families in need find a place to live that they can afford,” said Senator Rosen. “Access to safe and affordable housing is a crucial building block of success, and I’ll keep working across party lines to make sure it’s within reach for every Nevada family.” Senator Rosen has prioritized addressing Nevada’s affordable housing crisis and working to bring down costs. Last month, she introduced a bipartisan bill to help boost the housing supply and lower housing costs by supporting small businesses in the housing industry. Earlier this year, Senator Rosen introduced a bill to exclude homebuilding materials from Donald Trump’s tariffs and help lower home construction costs.
