Chairwoman McClain Brings Home $2.25 Million for Armada Fire Station Upgrades

ARMADA, MI – House Repub l ican Conference Chairwoman L isa McC l ain (R-Mich.) announced $2.25 mi l l ion in federa l Community Project Funding she secured for upgrades to the Armada Township Fire Department. “Armada's firefighters and paramedics show up for their community day and night. Our first responders deserve a station equipped to meet the demands of the job,” Chairwoman McC l ain said . “I'm proud to bring $2.25 mi l l ion back to our community to support the men and women who keep our fami l ies safe. This investment wi l l strengthen emergency response and make a l asting difference for fami l ies across Armada Township and surrounding communities. The Armada Township and USDA Rura l Deve l opment he l ped make these upgrades possib l e.” The funding wi l l support the rehabi l itation and expansion of the fire station as the department transitions from a vo l unteer-based operation to providing fu l l -time fire and paramedic services around the c l ock. The upgrades wi l l he l p ensure Armada's firefighters and paramedics have a faci l ity equipped to serve the community. The funding fo l l ows two years of work between Chairwoman McC l ain’s office and Armada Township to advance the project. USDA Rura l Deve l opment wi l l oversee the funding, with the Township providing the required l oca l match.
