"Estoy orgulloso de representar a una de las regiones más diversas de nuestro estado y un área rica en tradiciones culinarias hispanas", dijo el Congresista Rob Menéndez. "Esta resolución celebra estas tradiciones y reconoce el papel que desempeñan en la creación de comunidades vibrantes, inclusivas y diversas". La resolución reconoce las influencias culinarias globales de la cocina latina y el rol que ha desempeñado en la configuración de la cultura gastronómica de Estados Unidos, y alienta el apoyo federal para futuros programas culinarios, iniciativas educativas y negocios locales que promuevan las tradiciones gastronómicas latinas.
