Fischer Celebrates Reconsideration of Biden-Harris Clean Power Plan 2.0
Today, U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), issued the following statement after the
U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
announced
steps to
reconsider
the
Biden administration’s detrimental Clean Power Plan 2.0 rule.
“Throughout its tenure,
the Biden administration attempted to dramatically expand federal regulatory authority, harming
American energy production in the process. The Biden-Harris Clean Power Plan 2.0 would have harmed the affordability and reliability of electricity generation and raised prices on Nebraskan families. I am pleased to see
that President Trump's EPA is taking action to
reconsider
this overreach
and return America to energy dominance,”
said Senator Fischer.
Background:
In 2023, Senator Fischer
joined
38 of her Republican Senate colleagues in sending former U.S. EPA Administrator Michael Regan a
letter
requesting the withdrawal of the Clean Power Plan 2.0 proposed rule.
