Ossoff refuses to fund our military – again

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) today released the following statement after Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) voted against a procedural measure that would have allowed for consideration of a bill to fund the Department of War during the lapse in appropriations: “Jon Ossoff keeps finding new ways to turn his back on the military community – it is truly astounding. From using our veterans as political pawns to refusing to fund the Department of War, Georgia’s servicemembers deserve better than someone who willingly trades their paychecks for health care for illegal immigrants.” In addition to voting against cloture on a full-year Department of War spending bill, Ossoff has voted ten times against a clean continuing resolution to fund the government through November 21 st . ###
