September 19, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (IL-09) released the following statement after voting against the Republican Continuing Resolution (CR): “Today, Republicans in the House of Representatives passed a temporary government funding bill that does nothing to make health care more affordable and accessible. They passed on an opportunity to reverse course on their Big Ugly Law that rips health care away from 17 million Americans and raises health insurance rates.
