Reed Statement on Trump’s Inauguration

WASHINGTON, DC –Today, U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) issued the following statement on the second non-consecutive inauguration of President Donald J. Trump:
“Congratulations to President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance on their inauguration.
“The peaceful transfer of power is one of the hallmarks of our democracy.  I hope President Trump will approach his second time in office with a stronger commitment to upholding and defending our Constitution.
“America remains a nation of strength, resilience, prosperity, and opportunity.  I will continue working to keep it that way while also making new progress, delivering for our state, and serving as a voice for all Rhode Islanders, no matter their political affiliation.”
