Scott Statement on Laken Riley Act

January 22, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, D.C. –Congressman Bobby Scott issued the following statement after voting against S.5, the Laken Riley Act: “It is well known that migrants are less likely to commit crimes than American citizens. Furthermore, migrants who are convicted of crimes are already inadmissible and deportable under current law.
