Senator Ricketts Releases Statement as UNL Chancellor Announces HE WILL STEP DOWN

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) released the following statement after the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor, Rodney Bennett, announced he will step down effective January 12, 2026.
“I am grateful to Chancellor Rodney Bennett for his service to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He stepped into a difficult role and worked hard to address the challenges. I wish him and his family the very best.”
