Sen. Ossoff Expanding Health Care Services in South Georgia

Valdosta, Ga.— U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering resources to expand health care services in South Georgia.
Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver Federal funding to Legacy Behavioral Health, which plans to purchase a customized van to serve as a mobile behavioral health clinic.
Sen. Ossoff is delivering $348,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.
“With the growing list of challenges Georgia’s rural hospitals face, I brought Republicans and Democrats together to expand access to behavioral health care across South Georgia,”Sen. Ossoff said.
“This funding represents more than a new vehicle — it represents increased access, hope, and stability for individuals and families throughout our 10-county service area. Adding this second mobile clinic strengthens our ability to meet individuals where they are — reducing barriers to care and ensuring that our rural and underserved communities have access to high-quality behavioral health services. We are sincerely appreciative of this support and the trust placed in us to continue strengthening community-based care,”Legacy Behavioral Health Chief Clinical Officer Mallory Tyre.
