January 07, 2026 Reschenthaler Announces Military Academy Nominations WASHINGTON, D.C. – Chief Deputy Whip Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) announced 15 military academy nominations for Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District. These distinguished students were nominated to U.S. service academies, including the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Naval Academy. “Serving in the U.S. Navy instilled in me a deep love of country and a commitment to service before self,” said Reschenthaler . “It is an honor to nominate 15 outstanding students from southwestern Pennsylvania who have demonstrated the character and commitment to serve our nation. I congratulate each of them on earning nominations to our U.S. service academies and wish them continued success.” Upon receiving this nomination, these constituents will look to meet the admission requirements of their service academy, which will make the final decision on admission in the early months of 2026. Each student who attends a service academy will make a commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
