Senator Justice Applauds Trump Administration’s $4.2 Million Investment to Expand West Virginia Rural Healthcare Access
CHARLESTON, WV – Today, Senator Jim Justice applauded President Trump’s $4.2 million investment in West Virginia’s rural healthcare access – to expand medical transportation capacity, advancing the Administration’s commitment to strengthening rural healthcare and ensuring Americans can access high-quality care closer to home. “No West Virginian should have to travel hours just to get quality health care. Having fought for rural healthcare for years, I know just how vital local access is to our communities. President Trump promised to stand with rural America, and this investment shows he’s delivering. Getting the Rural Health Transformation Program across the finish line in the Working Families Tax Cuts Act means our families are going to be taken care of. Plain and simple, this is a giant win for our state,” said Senator Jim Justice . BACKGROUND: This investment was made possible by the Working Families Tax Cuts, passed by Republicans in Congress. It is part of the Trump Administration’s RHTP, a historic $50 billion, five-year national investment to help states transform the way healthcare is delivered in rural America. Today’s funding announcement is part of the larger overall funding amount of $199,476,099 million awarded to West Virginia for fiscal year 2026. Read more about the announcement HERE . ###
