Senator Justice Celebrates Passage of the Hershel “Woody” Williams National Medal of Honor Monument Location Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Jim Justice celebrated the passage of his Bill, the Hershel “Woody” Williams National Medal of Honor Monument Location Act , in the House: “Our Medal of Honor recipients represent the very best of America, and we owe them a debt we can never repay. I know my dear friend Woody Williams is smiling down on us today. This victory is for Woody, for West Virginia, and for every hero who put it all on the line for our freedom. I look forward to President Trump signing this meaningful bill into law,” said Senator Jim Justice . BACKGROUND: Senator Justice’s first introduced bill was the Hershel “Woody” Williams National Medal of Honor Monument Location Act . The bill passed unanimously in the Senate on March 25, 2026. Senator Justice received the Foundation’s first Champion of Honor award for his work to pass the Act in the Senate. In 2022, Senator Justice named Woody Williams the first-ever inductee into the West Virginia Military Hall of Fame.
