VIDEO RELEASE: Senator Moody Urges Floridians to Participate in National Drug Take Back Day
WASHINGTON, D.C.
—Senator Ashley Moody is urging Floridians to participate in National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday and help save lives. On National Drug Take Back Day, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration hosts drop off locations nationwide where anyone can drop off unused, unwanted or expired prescription medication, to help keep the substances from falling into the wrong hands.
“Substance abuse is tearing apart families, destroying communities and killing Floridians. As Attorney General, I fought the opioid crisis head on—winning historic legal battles, and leading fentanyl interdiction efforts to stop the flow of this deadly poison. While I continue this fight in the U.S. Senate, we still need your help—on Drug Take Back Day, locate any unused or unneeded medications in your medicine cabinet and take them to a drop-off location near you,” said
Senator Ashley Moody
