Landsman Statement on Farm Bill
Resources / Uncategorized Share on Landsman Statement on Farm Bill Apr 30, 2026 Uncategorized Cincinnati, OH – Today, Congressman Greg Landsman (D-OH-01) released the following statement after voting against the Farm Bill in the U.S. House of Representatives: The farmers in my district deserve a representative who will fight like hell for all farm policy, and I’m using every tool I have to do exactly that. I’m working with a group of Republicans and Democrats fighting to get the E15 legislation done. House leadership put the bill on the floor, and promised not to pass the Farm Bill without it. After push back from members beholden to oil and gas companies, they pulled the E15 bill. The Farm Bill will come back to the House for another vote as the Senate will likely improve the bill. When it does, and having passed E15, I’ll obviously support the Farm Bill. By denying House leadership a bigger vote margin, we put pressure on them and the Senate to pass E15 – and to delay the cost sharing aspect of their SNAP cuts (which would have a huge impact on Ohio). I thought what they did to temporarily kill the E15 legislation was outrageous. To make matters worse, we’re told they agreed to a vote in a few weeks but also promised those against it there would be no vote. We need the Senate to make this better before it comes back to the House for a final vote. ### Share on
