Senator Justice Celebrates New Dominion Energy Natural Gas Plant at Mt. Storm

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Senator Jim Justice celebrated Dominion Energy’s announcement of their plan to construct a new natural gas power plant at Mt. Storm that will run alongside the existing coal plant. “I’ve been saying it since the beginning: energy is the lifeblood of West Virginia. Dominion Energy’s investment in a state-of-the-art natural gas plant cements our position as America’s energy leader. BACKGROUND: This historic investment will: Add 1,400+ construction jobs and 2,490 jobs total statewide. Bring in around $259 million annually in local economic output for Grant and Tucker counties. $400 million in statewide economic activity during construction Create nearly 150 jobs once the plant is operational.
