Stanton Statement on the Continuing Resolution

WASHINGTON, D.C —Today Rep. Greg Stanton released the following statement on the Fiscal Year 2025 government funding bill, known as the continuing resolution: “My job is to stand up for Arizonans, and Speaker Johnson’s hyper-partisan continuing resolution fails Arizona. It fails to provide funding for veterans’ health care, water infrastructure, and wildland firefighter pay. It fails to protect Arizonans’ hard-earned benefits like Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. And it fails to rein in Elon Musk and DOGE as they take a sledgehammer to critical services Arizonans rely on. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and work on a bipartisan agreement, but on this bill I’m a no.”
