January 08, 2025 Reschenthaler Announces Military Academy Nominations WASHINGTON, D.C. – Chief Deputy Whip Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) announced 24 military academy nominations for Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District. The U.S. service academies students are nominated to are the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Naval Academy. “As a U.S. Navy veteran, I understand the importance of lifting up America’s best and brightest to serve our nation in the Armed Forces,” said Reschenthaler. “This year, I have the pleasure of nominating 24 individuals from Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District to pursue admission at one of our esteemed U.S. service academies. I wish them the best in this chapter of their lives and congratulate them on earning these nominations.” Upon receiving this nomination, these constituents will look to meet the admission requirements of their service academy, which will make the final decision on admission in the early months of 2025. Each student who attends a service academy will make a commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
